I am so excited to announce my FIRST EVER INTERVIEW for the Voyage Tampa Magazine!
Here's an exclusive sneak peek of the interview for "Hidden Gems: Local Businesses & Creatives You Should Know":
Hi Katrin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers? My name is Katrin Eisenmann, but most of my friends call me Kat! I am a native-born German who chose to move to Tampa at the beginning of 2021. Although I had already lived in Tampa previously in 2018, I decided to move back to Germany temporarily in order to finish up my studies and work. I started using Instagram in a professional way 3-4 years ago and since then, I have continued to grow my online audience over the years. Currently, I have more than 21k followers on Instagram (@katy_ironman) and around One Million monthly views on my Pinterest account (@Katy Ironman). I love what I do and enjoy creating amazing content for brands and partners.
Aside from being an influencer, I am in charge of the marketing department at a real estate agency and consult companies on social media marketing strategies as a side project. My long-term goal is to start my own marketing agency with my growing network, but for now, I continue to develop my brand. Many people assume it’s easy to be an influencer on Instagram, however, it takes a lot of hard work, long hours, and dedication to be successful!
When I’m not working, I enjoy doing photoshoots, working on blog posts (www.katyironman.com), writing emails, and pitching ideas to brands. The work, commitment, and effort I put into their feed and pictures is both rewarding and enjoyable!
Tampa’s vibrant energy as a city makes it the perfect place for me to grow as an entrepreneur and an even more ideal place to live. I love living here and I’m always looking for the next exciting adventure in Tampa Bay! Check out my social media or connect with me!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect? As a foreigner, it’s pretty difficult in general to get a working visa here in America. Especially during covid, I experienced many obstacles and problems and I wasn’t sure for weeks if I would make it to the US. Luckily it all worked out at the end!
Furthermore, the Social Media industry is changing all the time so you have to work hard to stay on top of everything. Following trends and being creative all the time can be tricky as well. You can also face a lot of backslash in the beginning when you start to become an influencer and people often don’t take you serious. Don’t be discouraged, though and keep going!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work? I create social media content and share my life in America from a German point of view to my followers. Aside from that, I focus my efforts on providing interesting and useful online marketing tips to my clients on how to grow your audience. This includes sharing a behind-the-scenes look in the industry of social media marketing and the tools and tips needed to be successful in this growing field. The accomplishments I am most proud of include navigating a cross-country move amidst a global pandemic and fulfilling a long-time dream of mine… getting my new kitten Hemingway!
There are great things to say about all the amazing and interesting influencers I meet, however what sets me apart from others is the fresh perspective I bring as a foreigner to a field saturated with similar styles and viewpoints.
Who else deserves credit in your story? I have to give credit to my family, friends, and my faith that have brought me this far on my journey. I have always had goals and visions of my own, however the importance of my faith, as well as the strong community behind me, has been the best part of watching the these dreams come to life!
I am so thankful and feel very honored to be part of the "Hidden Gems: Local Businesses & Creatives You Should Know". Stay tuned for more PR to come in the future!
